While Kid Sister was away at the BET Awards (pics on her MySpace) and performing at Glastonbury, we figured it was time to drop this vinyl-only remix EP, featuring brand new versions of "Control" by JFK of MSTRKRFT and our own LA Riots, as well as "Pro Nails" mixes by SMD (aka Simian Mobile Disco) and DJ Gant-Man. You can purchase it at Turntable Lab and fine vinyl emporiums worldwide. But that wasn't enough! We didn't want to leave our record player-less friends high and dry, so we decided to give away promo mp3s on our RCRD LBL page, starting with JFK's "Control." Grab it here and stay tuned for more!
Now that A-Trak's Running Man mix is out this week on iTunes in its full 45-minute workout format, we can direct you to these stand-alone nuggets: single "Say Woah," and the original version of "Mastered" featuring Lupe Fiasco (who couldn't be cleared and ended up replaced by Kid Cudi on the final Original Run version).
Fool's Gold meets the Swedish House Mafia, as Trizzy tours Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso's villa in Ibiza. Check this, the previous episode of A-Trak TV (starring Busy P), and all future installments here.
We continue to Debo our way into the record industry with this week's Billboard mag, where Fool's Gold is named as one of ten "Indie Visionaries" in their first annual list, alongside not just other labels but managers, booking agents, websites and various "innovators taking risks and reaping rewards." It's always nice to be noticed! Read the whole article here, more big dog label news soon...
Dudes! You've known since this post that I was about to come out with a record for all your jogging needs. This is essentially my first record -- can you feel the excitement in my blogging style today? Anyway it's out now and you can cop it on iTunes. It's available all over the world but our North American friends also get a 5 minute "behind the scenes" style video shot in my studio living room.
